Ready to Know Jesus?
It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from, what you’ve done, or what your life looks like right now—you have worth and value in God’s eyes. You are loved, you are seen, and you are not an accident. God created you with purpose, and He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for you.
Life can be messy, and let’s be honest, none of us have it all together. But here’s the good news: God doesn’t expect you to clean yourself up first. Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are tired and have heavy loads, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28, NCV).
You can come to God just as you are—flaws, mistakes, and all. The Bible tells us, “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Jesus didn’t die for perfect people; He died for broken people like me and you.

What Does It Mean to Follow Jesus?
Following Jesus is about starting a personal relationship with Him. It means recognizing that we’ve all messed up and fallen short of God’s standard (Romans 3:23). But it also means believing that Jesus took the punishment for our sins when He died on the cross (John 3:16) and trusting Him to make us new.
When you surrender your life to Jesus, He forgives you, gives you a fresh start, and brings you into a relationship with God.

A Prayer to Get Started
If you’re ready to start a relationship with Jesus, you can pray something like this. There’s nothing magic about these words; what matters is your heart.
God, I know I’ve messed up. I’ve made mistakes and tried to do life on my own, but I can’t. I need You. I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose from the dead so I could have a new life. I ask You to forgive me and make me new. I want to follow You and trust You with my life. Thank You for loving me, no matter what. Amen.

What's Next?
If you just prayed that prayer, welcome to God’s family! The Bible says, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).
Here are a few next steps:
1. Get a Bible. If you don't have one, let us know, we would love to send you one for free.
2. Connect with a local church. It’s so important to be around others who can encourage you and help you grow. If you need help finding a church, let us know.
3. Get baptized. The Bible teaches us to repent of our sins, confess Jesus as Lord, and be baptized. In Acts 2:38, Peter said, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
Baptism is an important part of our walk with God. It symbolizes being buried with Christ and raised to new life in Him (Romans 6:4). It’s also an act of obedience that demonstrates our commitment to follow Jesus.
