Hey everyone,
As many of you know, we’ve been walking through a devotional series called "Seek God's Face, Not His Hand." And don’t worry, we will definitely return to it. But I want to pause for a moment because God has laid something heavy on my heart over the past couple of weeks that I feel is absolutely necessary to share.
I can’t count how many times I’ve felt the need to speak about this but haven’t. So here I am, stepping out in obedience. Today, we’re going to talk about repentance. It’s not always a comfortable subject, but it’s one we need to dive into deeply.
Before I continue, let me be clear: I’m not writing this because I’ve got it all together. I am the furthest thing from perfect. I mess up constantly, I get things wrong, and I often find myself asking God for forgiveness and guidance. This message is just as much for me as it is for anyone else. We’re all on this journey together.

Repentance is more than just saying “sorry” or feeling bad about something you’ve done. It’s a heartfelt change—turning away from sin and turning toward God. The word itself means to change your mind, your direction, and your heart. In the Bible, we see countless examples of people who, despite their past mistakes, turned back to God and found redemption.
Let’s look at a few key passages:
𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝟯:𝟭𝟵 – "Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out." This verse shows us that repentance is tied directly to the forgiveness of our sins. It’s a cleansing, a fresh start.
𝟮 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝟳:𝟭𝟰 – "If my people, who are called by my name, humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." This is a promise from God that repentance brings healing—not just for ourselves, but for our communities and even our nations.
Repentance is about humility. It’s about recognizing where we’ve gone wrong, acknowledging that we need God’s grace, and allowing Him to transform us from the inside out.

Look around. We live in a world filled with uncertainty—wars, rumors of wars, natural disasters, political tension, and personal struggles. We’re in a season where we must turn to God more than ever. The Bible warns of times like these, but it also gives us hope. Now is not the time to run away from God or to hide from what we’ve done. Now is the time to turn to Him and repent.
And please understand—this message is not coming from someone who has it all figured out. I struggle too. I fall short, and I need to constantly repent and seek God’s forgiveness. But I know this: God is faithful, and He’s always ready to meet us when we turn to Him.
Repentance isn’t just for people inside the church; it’s for everyone. Whether you’ve been walking with Christ for years or are just curious about faith, repentance is a key part of understanding who God is. He’s not waiting to punish you—He’s waiting to restore you.
If you’re feeling the weight of the world or the burden of mistakes, let me assure you that God is ready to lift that weight. All He asks is that we come to Him honestly, with hearts ready to change. He loves you and wants to guide you through whatever you're facing, but it starts with turning toward Him.
The time to repent isn’t tomorrow or next week—it’s now.
God bless you all,
Andrew
