I wanted to share a God moment I experienced today. I don’t work full-time in ministry—in fact, I work full-time in a service-based business where I go to customers’ homes and properties to perform our services. Today, while working with a sweet elderly customer, I noticed the political signs in their yard supporting the candidate I’m not backing. As soon as I saw them, I prepared myself for the possibility of a political conversation. Sure enough, during our time together, they started venting about policies, the economy, and all the issues they were frustrated with. As I listened, I couldn’t help but think, "You're voting for the wrong candidate!" Their candidate supports so many of the things they were upset about, but I chose not to say anything. Instead, I just smiled and nodded to avoid making the situation uncomfortable, and to also respect the customer in their home.

As I was leaving, though, I felt God speak to my heart. It was as if He was asking, "What if your priority wasn’t to get them to switch candidates? What if you used that same desire to lead them to Me instead?" Wow, talk about conviction! What if, as Christians, we redirected all the energy we pour into political debates toward sharing the love of Christ?

Now, I’m not saying the upcoming election isn’t important—it absolutely is. As believers, we should always aim to vote based on biblical values and principles. But even more important than winning debates or elections is our mission to introduce people to Jesus. Political opinions won’t change someone’s eternity—but Jesus will.

Imagine the impact we could have if we, as believers, made it our mission to share the Gospel, rather than political arguments. We could truly change the world.

Let’s focus on leading people to Christ, not just to our candidate. In the end, politics will pass away, but God’s Kingdom is eternal.

Keep strong in Christ.
