By now, we understand the importance of seeking God’s face rather than just His hand, and how this pursuit transforms our lives. But the question is: 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙙𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙮 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨?

It’s easy to talk about wanting a deeper relationship with God, but turning that desire into action can sometimes feel overwhelming. In this part of our study, we’ll explore some practical steps you can take to begin seeking God’s presence intentionally, even in the middle of your busy life.

In the hustle and bustle of life, it’s easy to feel like we’re constantly moving, never stopping to rest. But if we want to seek God’s face, the first thing we need to do is 𝙨𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣. Scripture reminds us that we experience God’s presence in moments of stillness.

𝗣𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗺 𝟰𝟲:𝟭𝟬 says, “𝘉𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘎𝘰𝘥.”

To seek God’s face, we have to make space for Him in our lives. This could be as simple as setting aside a few minutes in the morning, turning off distractions, and spending time in quiet prayer or meditation on His Word. It’s in the stillness that we often hear His voice the clearest.

One of the primary ways we seek God’s face is by reading His Word. The Bible is God’s way of revealing Himself to us, and if we want to know Him better, we need to engage with it regularly. But this isn’t just about checking off a box on our reading plan—it’s about truly encountering God through Scripture.

Start by asking the Holy Spirit to guide your reading. Approach the Bible with an open heart, ready to learn and be changed by what God reveals. When you meditate on Scripture, let it sink into your soul, shaping your thoughts, actions, and attitudes.

𝗣𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗺 𝟭𝟭𝟵:𝟭𝟬𝟱 says, “𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘱 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩.”

Let God’s Word illuminate your life and help you grow closer to Him.

Prayer is one of the most powerful ways to seek God’s face. It’s not just about presenting our needs to Him, but about building a relationship with Him. When we come to God in prayer, we’re invited into an intimate conversation with our Creator.

𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟰:𝟲 tells us, “𝘋𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘹𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘴𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘎𝘰𝘥.”

But don’t just talk—listen. Make space in your prayers for silence, allowing God to speak to your heart. It’s in those quiet moments that we often feel His presence the most.

Seeking God’s face doesn’t have to be limited to formal “quiet time” moments. God is with us throughout our entire day, and we can train ourselves to notice His presence in even the most ordinary situations.

Whether you’re on your commute, at work, cooking dinner, or spending time with family, God is there. Ask Him to help you become aware of His presence throughout the day. The more you practice this, the more you’ll realize that God is constantly near, ready to meet with you.

𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗮𝗵 𝟮𝟵:𝟭𝟯 says, “𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘦, 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵.”

When we intentionally seek God with our whole hearts, we begin to see Him in every aspect of our lives.

We’re not meant to pursue God alone. Surrounding ourselves with fellow believers who encourage and support us in our spiritual journey is vital. Being in community with others helps us stay accountable and motivated to keep seeking God’s face.

Join a small group, a Bible study, or simply connect with friends who share your faith. Share what God is teaching you and encourage each other in the journey. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗯𝘀 𝟮𝟳:𝟭𝟳 says, “𝘐𝘳𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘴 𝘪𝘳𝘰𝘯, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳.” When we seek God together, we grow stronger in our faith.
